Self-care is for everyone, and that includes even the busiest, strongest women we know.
It might not always be easy, especially with all the things you need to do but if you’ve been following our official Instagram accounts now, you should know by now that self-care is essential. It’s not an option (it never is) and that you have to make time for it to take care of your mental and physical health.
After all, prioritizing one’s self is not always about spending so much time in a salon, having a warm bath (but this is definitely a favorite), or dining in a fancy restaurant.
Me-time, as the name suggests, is about you. You doing what feels good and comfortable in the moment. Often, it’s about having some quiet time so you can listen to your body and mind.
Once you learned what a self-care routine is really about, it won’t be as challenging as you think it is.
In this post, you will learn some non-negotiable self-care rules for any women.
No matter how busy you are, you must prioritize your mental and physical health. Otherwise, all your efforts will be useless.
I mean, if you’re a mom or womanpreneur… or both and you suddenly suffered from overfatigue or anxiety, do you think you can properly function?
Of course, not.
You can push yourself but it will be different so be sure that, whatever you do, put your health first. Get a good night’s sleep, choose healthier food and beverage options, keep yourself hydrated, and have an active lifestyle.
The key is finding a balance in everything, and choosing a lifestyle that suits you.
In case you didn’t know, you can make tea rituals a part of your self-care, too.
So, instead of just brewing your tea and drinking it, you can take a break away from your desk and immerse yourself in every step.
It’s a simple process to declutter your mind and relieve the feeling of being overwhelmed.
This act of love is calming and mind you, it won’t ask for a lot of time.
All you have to do is be present — listen to the sound of the boiling water, look at the color of the water as it changes once the tea leaves are added, feel the warmth of the cup, smell the aroma of your blend, savor the taste of your beverage, and be grateful for the moment.
This doesn’t necessarily mean going to the wild or taking a vacation; it means just going out for a break. Just walk, expose yourself to the sunlight and nature even for less than 60 minutes.
You can either sit and listen to a relaxing podcast or just stay still and be present.
It’s easy yet amazing how it can add fuel to your mind and body and boost your mood.
How about you? What non-negotiable self-care routine do you have?
