Originating in Indian culture, the 7 Chakras are a perfect tool to use to navigate your everyday life. Each Chakra alignment separates a part of the body and together they create the whole being.
I had heard a lot about the Chakras through my introductory practice in yoga movement, but it was not until my yoga and Reiki training that I was able to delve deeper into this system of our being.
Learning how the 7 Chakras help determine why we respond the way we do and how life events affect our body was mind-opening.
The body consists of seven (7) energetic points; Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, Root, and these points are often referred to as the 7 Chakras. Each Chakra plays an important and specific role in our energetic well-being.
When any of these areas are out of balance, we feel disharmony and diseases within our body or being. This unbalance can show itself as stress, tension, mental fog, sadness, anger, and more.
To implement alignment and to experience more balance, the first step is tuning into yourself. So often your mind is busy or distracted by all the things that show up in life, hence you lack the skills to listen to your body.
Take a day to feel into and hear what your body needs or doesn’t need and surely, you will have a more productive and fulfilled day.
Another method to help you balance your Chakra is Reiki healing and I’ll discuss a bit of it below.
In Reiki healing, I offer clients a full-body energetic cleansing as I shift the energy of each of the Chakras and locate any areas that have any stuckness. It is done through a hands-off or light touch approach. Clients typically feel a sense of heat, space, or relief after a session.
I always suggest that you start by sitting with yourself and feeling into your body.
